Frozen Foods

We offer a range of frozen items to purchase at both our Sai Ying Pun and Sai Kung branch.

We encourage customers to bring their own containers, especially for large quantities, as we only provide paper bags and small jars for sale. Additionally, customers may choose to bring their own cool bag to keep things chilled on the way home.

      Cooking instructions for our frozen selection

      ‘DUMDUMPLING’ DUMPLINGS

      Boiling
      1. Briefly rinse frozen dumplings with room temperature water (to prevent skin bursting)
      2. Place into simmering water and bring the water to a boil
      3. Once the dumplings float, cook for an additional 2-3 mins. Drain and serve!
      Steaming
      1. Steam from frozen with a lid covered for 8-9 mins
        Pan-fry
        1. Gently heat 1-2 tbsp of oil in a non-stick pan, place the frozen dumplings into then pan
        2. Fry them at low-medium heat for 1-2 mins until the bases are golden
        3. Add a few tbsp of water, then cover and cook for 5-7 mins
        4. Remove the lid and change to low heat until all the water evaporates, serve.

          'BLENDIT' FROZEN BAGELS

          Toaster

          Defrost until soft enough to cut and toast until golden brown.

          Oven

          Reheat for 6-8 minutes in a pre-heated oven from frozen at 180 degrees (160 if fan assisted).

          Microwave

          Defrost until soft enough. Sprinkle the bagel with water and microwave it for 30 seconds.

          Electric hot plate

          Cut it half, place in frying pan, cover to retain heat & moisture and cook on a low/medium heat until warm all the way through.

          Croissant

          1. Pre-heat oven to 170ºC
          2. Defrost for 20-30 mins at room temperature
          3. Bake at 170°C for 16 mins
          Cocoa hazelnut croissant
          1. Pre-heat oven to 180ºC
          2. Defrost for 30 mins at room temperature
          3. Bake at 180°C for 18-20 mins

          Cinnamon swirl

          1. Pre-heat oven to 170ºC
          2. Defrost for 25 mins at room temperature
          3. Bake at 170°C for 18-20 mins

          Lattice (Spinach feta / Tomato olive)

          1. Pre-heat oven to 170-180ºC
          2. Defrost for 45 mins at room temperature
          3. Bake at 170-180°C for 18-20 mins

          Big Pizza twist

          1. Pre-heat oven to 170ºC
          2. Defrost for 35-40 mins at room temperature
          3. Bake at 170ºC for 16-17 mins

          Mini baguette

          1. Pre-heat oven to 220-230ºC
          2. Defrost 0-10 mins at room temperature
          3. Bake at 220-230ºC for 4-5 mins

          So Moelleux Plain

          1. Pre-heat oven to 180-200ºC
          2. Defrost 30 mins at room temperature
          3. Bake at 180-230ºC for 3-5 mins

          TAI TAI PIE PIES

          Sweet pies (except Apple pie ref. below):
          e.g. Blueberry, Pecan pie

          Oven

          • Pre-heat oven to 165ºC
          • Defrosted: place the defrosted pie in the oven for 10 mins
          • From frozen: heat for 10-20 mins

          Rice cooker

          • Heat defrosted pie for 15 mins

          Air fryer

          • Pre-heat to 160ºC and heat for 10 mins

          Savoury pies, Sausage roll and Apple pie:
          e.g. Vegetable curry, Vegan/Vegetarian meat pie

          Oven

          • Defrosted: Pre-heat oven to 185ºC, place the defrosted pie in the oven or 20-25 mins
          • From frozen: Pre-heat oven to 165ºC, heat for 30 mins. Then 185ºC for 20-25 mins

          Rice cooker

          • Heat defrosted pie for a full cycle

          Air fryer

          • Pre-heat to 180ºC and heat for 10 mins

          Bites:
          eg. Mini Christmas mince pies

          Oven

          • Pre-heat oven to 150ºC
          • Defrosted: heat for 5-8 mins
          • From frozen: heat for 10-15 mins

          ‘TEMPEHOLA’ TEMPEH

          How to store tempeh:

          • Refrigerator (0-4ºC): 5 days
          • Freezer (below -12ºC): 3 months

          How to defrost tempeh:

          • Overnight in refrigerator OR
          • Steam for 5-10 min
          • Once defrosted, consume within 1 hour at room temp.
