Though menstrual products are essential, conventional menstrual brands use excessive amount of plastic in their products, as well as in their packaging! There are numerous eco options on the market nowadays to fight #plasticwaste

1) MENSTRUAL CUPS might seem like a modern concept, but the first menstrual cup was actually manufactured in the 1930s in rubber, same decade as disposable tampons were created! 

Nowadays, menstrual cups are made from medical grade silicone, flexible enough to be worn inside the vagina; sturdy enough to collect menstrual fluid throughout the day, heavy or light. With (ideally) one menstrual cup, you can replace 12,000 disposable sanitary products you might use in your lifetime.
By collecting menstrual blood inside of your body, it allows you to enjoy an odourless, free, and fresh cycle!  It is truly a game changer.
Empty, rinse, repeat! 

Cleaning

Between removal and insertion, make sure you have clean hands - there is no need to disinfect your cup between use during your cycle. Simply rinse the cup with water after emptying and before you insert the cup again. If you find yourself in a location without a sink, use bottled water!⠀⠀⠀⠀

At the end of your period, disinfect your cup by boiling it for 6-7mins (no more than 10mins as it might affect the silicone). Try to avoid ingredients like vinegar or alcohol, as they would irritate your vagina, and no one wants that.  Also disinfect the cup before you use it for the first time. 

For storing, place cup in a cotton bag or any breathable material that would allow any moisture to evaporate, ready for next time! 

2) PERIOD UNDERWEAR are another popular option for bleeders! Not as invasive for those who are not comfortable with cups, and act as a pad & underwear 2-in-1. 
They can be worn as complete replacement, as modibodi absorbencies range from 2.5ml (0.5 tampon) - 20ml (3-4tampons), or use as back up incase of those cheeky leaks - whichever you feel more comfortable with.

Cleaning

After a day of wearing them, run them under cold water until the water runs clear, this will avoid staining. Dissolve 1/2 to 3/4 cup of Oxygen bleach (Sodium Percarbonate) to 4 liters of hot water, soak for at least 30 minutes or overnight, then wash. Delicate cycle or put in a delicates bag! Make sure underwear and pads are dried properly to avoid any mold!

清空，清空，沖洗，重複！

清洗

每次清空月經杯時要確保雙手乾淨，用清水沖洗便可放回體內，並不需要消毒。如果清空月經杯時，場地沒有水，可使用水樽清洗。⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

首次使用前和每逢月經結束時，將杯子用滾水煮沸 6-7分鐘來消毒 （如多過10分鐘，矽膠有機會被影響）。消毒時，盡量避免使用含有對陰道做成刺激的成分，例如醋或酒精等等。⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

消毒後，將杯子存放在透氣袋中，以便水分蒸發，方便下次經期使用！

2) 月經褲 是另一個人氣選擇！是衛生巾及內褲的完美二合一，又不會像月經杯那樣具有侵入性。

清洗

即日用完後，用清水沖洗，直到水變清，這樣能避免有跡。亦可以用4升熱水開半杯至3/4杯的過碳酸鈉，浸半小時或過夜。清洗後可手洗，或放入洗衣袋機洗！

徹底晾乾後，便可正常存放，方便下次經期使用！
