Wood ear mushrooms are a classic in Asian dishes like hot and sour soup, and Szechwan and Hunan cuisine. They add a chewy, crunchy texture, and rich, jet black color to stir-fries and sautees. They are a natural source of iron, protein, and fiber, providing almost half the recommended daily fiber intake for adults. Wood Ear mushrooms are also a good source of vitamins B1 and B2.
Instructions: Reconstitute in water or broth for 15-20 minutes, then use as you would fresh mushrooms. Try them in stir-frys, stews, or toss with chilli oil.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat and moisture.
