Buckwheat tea is a tea made from roasted buckwheat. It is a popular beverage in Asian cultures and is sometimes served in place of water. Grown in Taiwan without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and no artificial flavors or colors added during processing, this Tartary Buckwheat Tea is nuttier and contains more rutin, an anti-inflammatory flavonoid that has beneficial properties such as lowering blood pressure, increasing blood flow, and maintaining elasticity of blood vessels.

Instruction: Add 250ml hot water to 7g (~1 tablespoon) buckwheat, and brew for 3-5 minutes. Strain and serve hot. Can be brewed repeatedly. Add dried longan or red dates to sweeten naturally. Drinking it after meals can ease digestion, especially after a heavy meal. Keep brewed buckwheat tea refrigerated and do not leave it at room temperature for prolonged periods.

蕎麥分為「韃靼種蕎麥」(黃金蕎麥、苦蕎)和「普通種蕎麥」(甜蕎),市面上常見的蕎麥多以「甜蕎」為主。而苦蕎與甜蕎最大的不同是,除了苦蕎所富含多種營養價值,因泡成茶時茶湯呈金黃色澤,又稱為「黃金蕎麥」。金黃的顏色來自芸香苷(rutin),是一種類黃酮(flavonoid)配醣體成分,在韃靼蕎麥的含量比甜蕎麥高,芸香苷主要的研究是應用在對降低人類的高血壓、血管出血性等相關疾病及微血管之修補作用。

韃靼蕎麥的獨特成分對健康有不同幫助,如抗氧化、抗癌、抗高血壓、抗糖尿病、降低膽固醇和提高認知能力等。

沖泡方式:每次用7g,加入200-250毫升熱水,浸泡3-5分鐘,即可飲用。可重複沖泡。 隨個人口味可加入桂圓或紅棗。飯後飲用,還有去油解膩的效果。浸泡後記得把蕎麥拿起。請以冷藏保存麥茶,勿長時間放置常溫中。
