Organic Hojicha Powder is a finely ground roasted green tea with a warm, toasty aroma, with notes of caramel and cocoa. Unlike matcha, hojicha is roasted, giving it a rich, nutty taste and a reddish‑brown hue. Powdery in texture, it dissolves easily in warm water or milk, making it ideal for lattes, baked goods, desserts, and savoury recipes.

Hojicha is naturally low in caffeine, making it an ideal, soothing choice for evenings or for those sensitive to caffeine. It contains antioxidants that help protect against oxidative stress, and is a source of dietary fibre, vitamins, and minerals that support overall wellness.

Instructions:

• Sift 1 tsp (2g) of hojicha powder into a cup.

• Add 60ml of 80-90ºC water. Whisk or stir until smooth.

• Add another 180ml of hot water, milk, or plant milk. Enjoy warm or iced.

Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place in an airtight container, away from light. For maximum freshness, some choose to store hojicha powder in the fridge.
