Sichuan Peppers are one of the only spices in the world that carry their trademark "numbing" flavour, which numbs your tongue without any spice. Use in combination with spicy food for a party in your mouth. The most unusual yet enjoyable use we've seen is small quantities of Sichuan Pepper powder fused into egg custard pudding.

Cooking Notes

Flavour: Chilli, Mint, 'Numbness'

Usage: Fry a few Sichuan Peppercorns in hot oil until fragrant, then strain and use the oil for cooking. Pairs great with tofu, chicken, mushroom, eggplant, pork.
